Innovate UK / New Anglia Local Action Plan: The Challenge

As part of the national Levelling Up agenda, Innovate UK commissioned a highlight video of their Action Plan conference at Adastral Park, near Ipswich — an event promoting collaboration between Innovate UK and the New Anglia Innovation Board.

A single highlight video wasn’t the only goal. The conference featured multiple speaker presentations that deserved to be seen individually, not just folded into a two-minute summary — and Innovate UK needed content that could keep working long after the event ended.

My Solution

I filmed the full event — networking, interviews and key speaker sessions — then edited two distinct pieces of content from the same footage:

✅ A 2-minute highlight film capturing the energy of the whole event

✅ Five individual, longer-form videos of each speaker presentation

This meant one filming day delivered both a shareable summary video and standalone content for each speaker — far more value than a single edit could offer.

This gave the client, not only an extra fantastic video content, but also much better value.

The Results

Innovate UK walked away with six finished videos from one event — a highlight film for wide promotion, plus five presentation videos giving each speaker their own shareable content. It’s a clear example of how one well-planned filming day can be repurposed into a genuine content library, not just a single video.
