Based in Norwich, Norfolk. I’m an experienced video professional offering my freelance filming – both land and aerial drone filming – service 24/7 in the UK, but mostly found filming in Norfolk / Suffolk, East Anglia and in the South East of England and London.
I’ve filmed for a highly diverse range of creative projects, for both ‘Post’ and for Live broadcast productions. I’m happy to be directed, or direct the action myself.

Filming Style
My style of shooting is natural, real human feel.
This is made possible by using a shoulder mounted support or with a saddle. This is without camera stabilization, and I only use an electronic gimbal when the story needs it.
The small natural motion artefacts when shooting shoulder mounted adds personality to the footage while communicating “this was filmed by a human being in the moment.”
A gimbal, while impressive, can sometimes make things feel too polished, too “clinical,” losing a sense of journey or being “there.”
My filming style adds beautiful character to the footage.

Recording up to 6K Open Gate so I can film in widescreen, vertical & square video at the same time. Extremely high quality, yet very usable BRAW files. Featuring 13 stops of dynamic range.

Blackmagic CC 6K FF
The little brother to the Pyxis that is more nimble in tight filming situations while still producing incredible images up to 6K Open Gate, in BRAW.
Capturing video in Gen5 colour space, it works in tandem with the Pyxis – the images matching perfectly.

When you book my freelance camera operator services, I include the use of my drone services, CAA compliant, with commercial insurance.
With my DJI Air 3S with twin lens for cinematic aerial shots and/or my DJI Avata 2 FPV drone for fast, immersive flying sequences.

My cameras have live streaming encoder built in, so I can offer a solution is the perfect conferences, talks, presentations and smaller events. It let more people join your event, from anywhere in the world.
With quick set up times, I can transmit your event anywhere Live – to your website, YouTube or social media channels. This can be made public or private – you decide.
Live streaming is included in my rates.

Yes, and my drone service is included within my filming service. I have been a drone pilot for many years, starting out with the CAA legacy certification PfCo.
Today my drone operations are still fully compliant with the CAA, and offer the use of both Cinematic and FPV style drones.
Once filming is complete, you can choose the delivery method that best suits your workflow:
On-site transfer
If you have a suitable SSD or laptop, I can transfer the footage before I leave (subject to time and data size).
Cloud upload
I’ll upload the footage for you to download. This is ideal if you have a fast and reliable internet connection.
Posted SSD
I can copy the footage onto a SSD and send it by tracked post at cost. If you return the SSD within 7 days, I’ll refund the cost of the drive, so you’ll only pay the postage.
Need the footage urgently?
In many cases, I can transfer or upload your footage on the same day, allowing your edit to begin immediately.

Absolutely. I regularly work independently on productions. I’m happy to work from your shot list and brief, or take the creative lead when needed, making decisions on location.
For pre-production, I’m happy to join remote planning meetings to discuss the brief, objectives and filming schedule. If you’d like to oversee interviews from afar, I can also offer a solution so the producer can remotely login while I’m shooting interviews.
