What reviews / testimonials do you have?

I have lots of reviews online from my lovely clients. I have added some on various pages on my website, or you can see my 5 Star Google reviews.
What video length is too long?

When creating video content you need to be concise, but get your message across in full. It’s a bit of a catch-22 situation.
This is important to get right, that’s why I have a dedicated blog post that do a deep dive into this very subject.
Is it a good idea to create a video with only music?

This is a big no! Video needs context.
Video by its nature needs a narrative to drive your message you want. If you watch any TV commercial, there is always a clear narrative.
Music can set the tone, and the mood of a video sequence, but it can’t convey messages.
You can read more on my blog post.
How much does a video production cost?

I’m a professional videographer who publicly publish my full videographer rate card online.
It includes separate pricing for filming, aerial drone and editing, along with video production.
How to create a successful video?

For my video productions, where I have carried out the pre-planning, I offer unlimited revisions.
How long does it take to produce a video?

The scale and scope of the brief has a huge impact on production time. As all video projects are very different, it’s very difficult to give a firm answer, but to generalise greatly:
Day 1- 2 – Pre-planning
Days 3-4 – Filming at your location(s)
Days 5-9 – Post production
What happens if you personally can’t fulfill a skill needed for my video brief?

This is where my ‘Miro-Agency‘ approach comes into play.

My clients receive high quality work, top support, along with freelancer rates.
What insurances do you hold?

I have £10 million public liability insurance for land and aerial drone filming, along with £100,000 professional indemnity insurance for your video production project protection.
I also supply RAMS for every project.
What is your file retention policy?

Ask any IT professional, long term storage of data- and it’s up-keep – is time consuming and costly. With this in mind, I don’t over promise on the length of time I store their video files.
My video data retention policy is simple:
Rushes – the camera files
Kept for three months – after final delivery of your video edit or, if using my freelance filming service, after the shoot date.
Master edited files
Kept for three months – after final delivery of your video edit.
If I don’t hear from you after the first edit, all data will be deleted 12 months after delivery.
How do you manage large video files?

The method of recording video footage has changes hughly over recent years. Video footage is now video data.
If it’s not in three places – it doesn’t exist.
That’s a saying throughout the IT community.
I work to this rule for every video production project I take on for my clients.
Filming
I film with the very best media from reputable brands and where technology allows, I dual record when recording.
Ingestion of video files
I transfer the record media via special software to check the transfer process is a perfect copy.
Storage
Your video data is backed up on a further two HDD. With storage in a Safe that is fire, and water-proof.
What is the video production process?

From Enquiry to Engagement
Firstly your enquiry, I just need to know what you have in mind for your next video production, who is the audience, what do you expect from the video, what you expect the video to achieve, and what is the time scale.
Costing
I will spend some time creating an initial brief concept, proposal, and costing. It will detail what I promise do, in what timeline, at what cost.
Pre-Production
I create a concept and develop this with you. Creating storyboards and mood boards, filming schedules, scripts for voiceover and questions for interviews. This planning will help visualise the video before production start and to prevent costly re-shoots.
Production
As per my pre-production planning pack, I will create your content. I will take care of the shooting schedule and all the technical aspects of filming. Health and Safety records are created at this stage.
Post-Production
The narrative will be crafted, along with embellishments of any visuals, voice over will be laid as well, if required, music score or and sound effects. Here’s a blog post about pre-planning.
Revisions
If you use my online feedback portal, and the amendments are ‘in keeping with the original video brief’, I offer Unlimited Editing Changes with my video production service.
What are your filming formats?

My video files are of very high quality. If you have trouble playing them in you NLE software, please created ‘proxies’.
Proxies are low resolution, duplicate files, that are much easier to play and edit and will not affect the final output.
For the UK market I film everything in 25fps, unless otherwise told.
