Documenting a World-First Carbon Removal Project
Since 2022, I’ve been the video production partner for Standard Gas, documenting the construction of their pioneering SG100 facility in Norfolk.
Over the course of the project I’ve produced more than 60 films, creating a visual record of one of the world’s first commercial-scale carbon removal technologies.
The videos have become an essential communication tool helping explain a highly technical project in a clear, engaging way.
The Challenge
A single promotional video wasn’t going to cut it.
Standard Gas’s SG100 project was evolving month by month — new engineering milestones, construction phases and technical breakthroughs, all needing to be communicated to investors and partners as they happened, not after the fact.
Without an ongoing visual record, progress updates risked going stale between filming dates, and a highly technical build risked losing its audience if the story wasn’t told clearly at every stage.

My Solution
Rather than creating one film, we built an ongoing content strategy. Across multiple filming days I’ve captured every stage of the build using a combination of:

The project continues to grow, with each visit adding another chapter to the story.
